QC - Quality Control Music:
Quality Control Music is One of the biggest Indie Labels. It is a Trap Label based in Atlanta and was founded there in 2013. It has some of the biggest trap artists in the game signed to it; Migos, Lil Yachty and Lil Baby are signed to Quality Control. It is Co-run by Kevin "Coach K" Lee who is also a well known A&R Rep who managed Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy before QC got 2 of Young Jeezy's singles at number 1 in the billboard hot 100 in 2006 and Gucci's album at number 1 in 2008. They have signed a new joint venture deal with Capitol Music Group and its Motown Records Label. They will help the artists signed under QC with things like marketing, promotion and possibly distribution. They have an A&R rep mainly and what this means is that they look for new artists and sign them but they are also the main point of contact with the artist and the label. The reason why they only have an A&R rep is because they have made deals with Capital Music Group and with Mowtown Records Label as well as possibly UMG to deal with Distribution, Marketing and Promotion of their artists because I feel that they chose to do that so they didn't get overwhelmed with everything that they probably had to do as they were only a small label.

Commentary and How I Formed my Ideas;
From this research I've payed more attention to primary sources of research than secondary as the primary sources come from the websites of the labels themselves so they would be more accurate about the information such as job roles than a secondary source would. This helped me form my opinion because Primary sources would be more trust-worthy. It helped me see what job roles are required in certain record labels and the different aspects of different sized labels.
